Lagos To Get A New Airport Terminal From $1.1B Chinese Loan

SAN FRANCISCO, September 14, (THEWILL) – A new airport terminal will be constructed in Lagos from the $1.1 billion Exim Bank of China loan obtained by the Federal Government of Nigeria, THEWILL can report.

The clarification was made Friday by office of the coordinating minister of the economy in a statement emailed to THEWILL.

The statement said the terms of the loan obtained “are very favourable” at 2.5% interest rate, compared to about 16% or higher, if the loan had been sourced from a local bank. See Statement Blow
