Floods kill 6 in Lokoja

Six persons died on Friday in Lokoja, capital of Kogi State, from flooding.

The flooding arose when the River Niger overflowed its banks in the confluence town.

Senate President David Mark said the Kogi flooding was the worst in the state in the past 30 years.

The flooding submerged the Abuja-Lokoja Highway, disrupting traffic on the busy road between the north and south of the country.
